Argentina, 1885. Severe laws prohibited men and women from swimming together and the use

of binoculars or similar optical equipment was not allowed in this areas. The women’s bikini
was banned from Argentina until 1957.

In 1946 French women’s designer Luis Reard brings to fashion the women’s bikini…but it only gains popularity when Hollywood stars begin using them.

The furor of the two-piece bikini takes place in 1956 with Hollywood actress Brigitte Bardot In “ And God Created Women” which also propelled her career. By the 1970’s Raquel Welsh among others dominate the screen by wearing bikinis.

Trikini’s History

The original trikini appeared  in 1967, defined  as  a handkerchief  and  two  small saucers. It reappeared  a  few  years  ago as a bikini bottom with a stringed halter of two triangle pieces of cloth covering the breasts. The trikini top comes   essentially in two  separate  parts. The name of this bathing suit is formed from bikini, replacing “bi’’ meaning “two’’ with “tri’’ meaning “three’’.

Stripping to essentials, the traditional trikini is “three’’ pieces,  and  the bikini “two’’  pieces. Many  women’s  swimwear  designers  make  a  variation of the trikini by  having  either  two  triangles, or a  bandeau  and  a center section  with  bikini  bottom.

How to choose the perfect bathing suit for thin women

 If you’re very thin with narrow hips  you can get away with pretty much any bikini but make sure you go for one that makes you look feminine. Triangle bikinis look great on thin women, as do bikinis that tie  around the back of the neck. Gisele Bündchen Beach Getaway

 Gisele Bündchen was back to the beach in Costa Rica with her family on Friday. She hit the sand with her husband, Tom Brady, their daughter, Vivian, and their dogs last weekend, though this time they were joined by Jack and Benjamin as well. Gisele wore a string swimsuit for the sunny day while Tom went shirtless to soak up the rays. The group played in the sand, splashed in the water, and even took Vivian for a dip in the ocean. Tom brought his surfboard along as well, and when he was done catching waves, he let Jack hop on in shallow water. Once Tom and Gisele wrapped up their water activities, they relaxed in the shade and showed PDA while keeping Vivian close.
